REC NAT 1.7

The 2030 Agenda and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals place special emphasis on caring for the planet and protecting the environment. Within this framework of action, the Andalusian Sustainable Development Strategy 2030 establishes different priority areas, among which is the conservation of Natural Resources. In it, the REC NAT 1.7 measure aims to «conserve the values of the landscape as a reference for the identity of people and territories and as a cultural and tourist resource, and to improve the landscape quality, of urban environments in particular».

This photographic series makes a visual interpretation of the REC NAT 1.7 measure with the purpose of contributing through the image to three objectives: promoting the value of the landscape of the Andalusian coast; raising awareness about the importance of non-mass tourism for the conservation of the environment; raise awareness about caring for the marine environment through sustainable development, in which human beings coexist in harmony with terrestrial, aquatic and aerial ecosystems. The photographs were taken in Rincón de la Victoria (Málaga), one of the most populated municipalities in the province.
